In May, we take a look at intellectual property law in the digital economy. Last year, the Labour Government enacted the Digital Economy Act 2010 (the DEA). The Act contains various provisions to enable rights owners to tackle infringement and piracy. A year on from the DEA hitting the statute books, rights owners are not much closer to being able to rely on the provisions. We explore the latest position.
