Countdown to the UPC: the Taylor Wessing webinar series
April 2016
Since June 2014, the Taylor Wessing UPC Group has been broadcasting a series of webinars on the Unified Patent Court and Unitary Patent – Countdown to the UPC – as we look forward to the start of the new system next year. So far in the series we have explained matters ranging from how the Unitary Patent works and its fees; the actions that can be brought in the UPC and how it makes decisions; preliminary injunctions; the rules on forum for bringing infringement claims, non-infringement declarations and revocation claims; and the context of the UPC in the existing system of the EPO and national patent litigation.
As the preparations for the UPC gather pace, there are more webinars to come. On 25 April we will be providing an update on the opt-out rules (first covered in Part 1 of the series), and this will be followed by further webinars on UPC proceedings in overview, court fees, search and seizure, use of experts and witnesses, remedies, and more.
Please look out for news on coming webinars on Synapse.
